This pair is a unique creation, crafted from selected pieces of antique jewelry, carefully recovered and transformed with passion:

  • Two heart-shaped pendants , from an old necklace found at a flea market from a lady who bought it in Essaouira.
  • Tassels , taken from an Indian necklace.
  • Hypoallergenic stainless steel rings , added only to bring movement to the tassel and give more fluidity to the whole.

I chose to preserve the cloisonné and blue glass paste sections in their original state. Some sections have slight imperfections, evidence of their past (see photos). To preserve their natural softness and silvery shine in the sun, I deliberately left the glass paste unglazed.

To balance the composition, I sawed around the pendant, then carefully sanded and polished it. Finally, I added a tassel mounted on a small line of rings, simply to give it a nice airy movement.

Not knowing the exact composition of the metal of the hanging elements, I opted for silver hooks that harmonize perfectly with the hearts, leaving them all their majesty. I also chose to varnish the cleaned and polished metal part with Zapon lacquer.

Hāto (ハート) means "heart" in Japanese. The macron on the "O"—that small, discreet bar—subtly lengthens its pronunciation.

  • Total weight: 12.61 gr > 6.30 gr. per ear . Perfect for lovers of imposing earrings! For novices, beware!

Interview

The salvaged metal used for this pair of earrings, whose metal composition remains unknown, is sensitive to water, salt, and chlorine. When purchased, it showed traces of rust in the form of orange stains.

To preserve their shine, store your earrings in a dry place. Clean only the silver hook with a disinfectant cotton pad if necessary.

If new traces of moisture or rust appear, a light brushing of the metal with a steel brush will restore their appearance.

Materials

Most of my jewelry is made of 925 or 950 silver, set with gems, and bear the maker's mark.
The pieces in the Refashion collection, for their part, are not made of precious metal and are not hallmarked: they are composed from pieces chosen from old, second-hand jewelry, the composition of the metal of which is unknown to me, and to which I give a new lease of life, a second life.

Care instructions

Avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom to prevent moisture from oxidizing it. Clean the jewelry and its gemstone with warm, soapy water using a soft toothbrush and dry them thoroughly with paper towels to avoid scratching them. Avoid wearing your jewelry at night to avoid damaging it. You can use the provided polishing cloth to restore shine (except on oxidized silver).

    I decline all responsibility for any delays, thefts, losses, or damage to the package by the carrier. It is advisable to check the condition of the package with the delivery person.
    Please note, if you notice that the package has been damaged during transport upon delivery, or that the warranty strip that sealed it has been removed or torn, you must refuse to accept the package in order to activate the insurance covering it.

  • Returns / Cancellation

    According to the law of distance selling, you have a period of 14 days from the date of receipt of the package to withdraw, and to contact the workshop to inform me of your decision and the return of the package which must be done within 8 days at your expense in the shipping package. Before ordering a ring, please check your finger size with a ring sizer, because I will not enlarge a piece of jewelry made, this would require unsetting the stone and therefore increase the price of the jewelry!

  • Repair / Polishing / Mohs scale

    If an accident should occur and your jewelry is damaged, do not hesitate to contact me to have it repaired. I will provide a quote. Please note, however: if upon receipt of your jewelry, I find that the repair necessarily requires unsetting the stone, the price will be adjusted by issuing a new quote to be signed before any intervention on my part. Allow 2 to 3 months of waiting before being able to collect the item. If you find that your jewelry has too many micro scratches after a few months, you can send it to me so that I can polish it again, free service! For all these shipments, the shipping and return costs remain your responsibility by the means that suits you.
    I refer to the Mohs scale on the product sheets, it is important to be aware of what this scale refers to in order to take care of the jewelry you are going to acquire. Details on this mini MOHS guide .
