Tsubamé... What is it?

A swallow in the land of jewels...

In Japanese, " swallow " is written " Tsubame " but is pronounced [tsoubamé] . So I Frenchified its writing to preserve the correct sound.

When I created this workshop, at the age of 50, the image of the swallow came to me.

This bird has an extraordinary sixth sense that allows it to sense when it's time to migrate. Without a similar instinct, I wouldn't be here today to create, live, discover, and thrive.

The swallow has lived through the ages and civilizations, carrying with it messages of renewal and new life. It is a symbol of liberation, luck, love, grace, and inner peace.

Its life inspires admiration: it remains faithful to a single mate, whom it protects and cherishes, always reliable and honest. These qualities resonate deeply with my vision of life and my work as a goldsmith, which requires continuous learning, humility, and kindness towards oneself and others.

In the summer of 2024, the swallow that I am decided to migrate to continue its journey. This odyssey of discovery nourishes my art and carries me on new winds to help it evolve. Lightening, deepening the metal, symbolizing and transforming...

This journey is reflected in my logo, which, is evolving to fly freely, continuing this adventure... Now simpler, more direct, solid and luminous at the same time. This little flight carries with it, in the hollow of its wings, the Tsubamé Workshop _ Atelier T.
