This pair of earrings is a unique creation, created from carefully selected pieces from antique jewelry, recovered and carefully transformed:

  • Two blue glass paste pendants from an old necklace bought from a lady at a flea market , who had herself acquired it in Essaouira during her vacation.
  • Two cultured pearls , taken from an old necklace of my grandmother.
  • Tassels from an old Indian necklace , bringing movement and elegance to the whole.

I wanted to give new life to these elements by creating earrings that are both simple and refined. Their shape reminds me of stethoscopes, hence their name.

The ear clips are made of 925 silver and are not soldered to the elements hanging from them, in accordance with French law prohibiting the soldering of precious metals to non-precious materials. I had fun twisting 316L stainless steel rods, as I usually like to do with silver, in order to attach pearls and tassels.

The elements are deliberately swapped between the two loops, while maintaining an identical length.

To ensure their durability and protect them from humidity, I completely varnished the brass setting as well as the top of the glass paste with Zapon lacquer .

Interview

The recycled materials used for this pair of earrings are sensitive to water, salt, and chlorine. Although 316L stainless steel is hypoallergenic, it can, over time and in case of frequent contact with water, show traces of rust.

To preserve their shine, store your earrings in a dry place. Clean only the silver hook using a disinfectant cotton pad if necessary.

Materials

Most of my jewelry is made of 925 or 950 silver, set with gems, and bear the maker's mark.
The pieces in the Refashion collection, for their part, are not made of precious metal and are not hallmarked: they are composed from pieces chosen from old, second-hand jewelry, the composition of the metal of which is unknown to me, and to which I give a new lease of life, a second life.

Care instructions

Avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom to prevent moisture from oxidizing it. Clean the jewelry and its gemstone with warm, soapy water using a soft toothbrush and dry them thoroughly with paper towels to avoid scratching them. Avoid wearing your jewelry at night to avoid damaging it. You can use the provided polishing cloth to restore shine (except on oxidized silver).

    I decline all responsibility for any delays, thefts, losses, or damage to the package by the carrier. It is advisable to check the condition of the package with the delivery person.
    Please note, if you notice that the package has been damaged during transport upon delivery, or that the warranty strip that sealed it has been removed or torn, you must refuse to accept the package in order to activate the insurance covering it.

  • Returns / Cancellation

    According to the law of distance selling, you have a period of 14 days from the date of receipt of the package to withdraw, and to contact the workshop to inform me of your decision and the return of the package which must be done within 8 days at your expense in the shipping package. Before ordering a ring, please check your finger size with a ring sizer, because I will not enlarge a piece of jewelry made, this would require unsetting the stone and therefore increase the price of the jewelry!

  • Repair / Polishing / Mohs scale

    If an accident should occur and your jewelry is damaged, do not hesitate to contact me to have it repaired. I will provide a quote. Please note, however: if upon receipt of your jewelry, I find that the repair necessarily requires unsetting the stone, the price will be adjusted by issuing a new quote to be signed before any intervention on my part. Allow 2 to 3 months of waiting before being able to collect the item. If you find that your jewelry has too many micro scratches after a few months, you can send it to me so that I can polish it again, free service! For all these shipments, the shipping and return costs remain your responsibility by the means that suits you.
    I refer to the Mohs scale on the product sheets, it is important to be aware of what this scale refers to in order to take care of the jewelry you are going to acquire. Details on this mini MOHS guide .
