PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING

This necklace is a unique piece, fashioned from carefully selected pieces of antique jewelry, cleaned, filed, polished and varnished for some:

  • Twelve pendants in the shape of drops of blue glass paste , set in brass, from an old necklace found at a flea market from a lady who had bought it in Essaouira.
  • Thirteen tassels , taken from an Indian necklace.
  • Stainless steel rings , recovered one by one from a waterfall necklace and assembled to reconstitute a unique chain in ultra-resistant steel.
  • A chain with a ball tassel , placed on the clasp, enhances the wearer's back.

I designed this necklace in perfect symmetry so that it harmonizes with its roundness around the neck and offers a majestic effect, evoking an ousekh necklace , a symbol of power and protection in ancient Egypt.

The glass paste pendants were carefully cleaned, filed, emery-finished, and polished, then varnished with Zapon lacquer. Some of the pastes have tiny holes due to their age, which is why I chose to protect them with Zapon.

My inspiration behind L'Éclat d'Amonet

Amunet is an Egyptian goddess associated with the invisible, protection, and primal forces. Her name means "The Hidden One," embodying a mysterious and timeless energy.

Blue, the dominant color of the necklace, is traditionally associated with deities in ancient Egypt. It symbolizes the sky, water, and spiritual powers, giving this piece of jewelry a primordial protective force.

The addition of "Éclat" reinforces this idea of an internal light specific to the necklace, an aura that emanates from it, evoking an ancient and precious energy that seems to vibrate through its materials.

Interview

The stainless steel and brass elements used in this necklace are sensitive to water, salt, and chlorine. When purchased, the pendants, in particular, showed traces of rust in the form of orange stains.

To preserve their shine, keep this necklace in a dry place. Do not wear it underwater and, if it is exposed to moisture, dry it immediately to avoid any deterioration.

Materials

Most of my jewelry is made of 925 or 950 silver, set with gems, and bear the maker's mark.
The pieces in the Refashion collection, for their part, are not made of precious metal and are not hallmarked: they are composed from pieces chosen from old, second-hand jewelry, the composition of the metal of which is unknown to me, and to which I give a new lease of life, a second life.

Each creation is part of a story, faithful to the spirit of my creative impulses. Please read the MOHS mini guide for gem care.
