Let yourself be seduced by this delicate Japanese umbrella ( wagasa) which protects a representation of the Venus of Willendorf in raku ceramic, a symbol of timeless grace. The wagasa offers this precious figure an intimate sanctuary, sheltered from view and time.

Inspired by haikus, the umbrella evokes a gentle refuge, where light transforms into soothing darkness. As Junichirō Tanizaki points out, "There is a special beauty in the darkness of an umbrella."

This shelter serves more than just a protective function. It also embodies a spiritual symbol, representing the infinite wisdom of the Buddha. The circular motif, inspired by an ancient Mesopotamian symbol, evokes the protection of home and family.

Small silver links unfold like climbing ivy all around, forming a curtain and recalling the headdress of the Lady of Brassempouy, a statuette dating from the Paleolithic period discovered in France.

These earrings are adorned with black pearls and raku ceramic Venuses, carefully waxed with shea oil for durability.

Materials

Most of my jewelry is made of 925 or 950 silver, set with gems, and bear the maker's mark.
The pieces in the Refashion collection, for their part, are not made of precious metal and are not hallmarked: they are composed from pieces chosen from old, second-hand jewelry, the composition of the metal of which is unknown to me, and to which I give a new lease of life, a second life.

Care instructions

Avoid storing your jewelry in the bathroom to prevent moisture from oxidizing it. Clean the jewelry and its gemstone with warm, soapy water using a soft toothbrush and dry them thoroughly with paper towels to avoid scratching them. Avoid wearing your jewelry at night to avoid damaging it. You can use the provided polishing cloth to restore shine (except on oxidized silver).

  • Returns / Cancellation

Before ordering a ring, please check your finger size with a ring sizer, because I will not enlarge a piece of jewelry made, this would require unsetting the stone and therefore increase the price of the jewelry!

  • Repair / Polishing / Mohs scale

    If an accident should occur and your jewelry is damaged, do not hesitate to contact me to have it repaired. I will provide a quote. Please note, however: if upon receipt of your jewelry, I find that the repair necessarily requires unsetting the stone, the price will be adjusted by issuing a new quote to be signed before any intervention on my part. Allow 2 to 3 months of waiting before being able to collect the item. If you find that your jewelry has too many micro scratches after a few months, you can send it to me so that I can polish it again, free service! For all these shipments, the shipping and return costs remain your responsibility by the means that suits you.
